• This course introduces to the students the study of Applied Ethics, particularly Bioethics. As a branch of Ethics, it also includes a discussion of the relationship of philosophy, science and religion since these three disciplines play many roles in our bioethical decisions. .  It also includes a survey of philosophical ideas pertaining to the Human Person for it is him/her who must play a very significant role in bioethical decisions. It further provides students with knowledge of ethical concepts and theories and acquire the skill of applying these theories in sound ethico-philosophical argumentation. It also familiarizes students to the various applications of ethical theories to moral issues in daily life. Importantly, it will train students to have a critical attitude in dealing with moral issues that affects their life.
