This course offers an opportunity for student-counselors to intensively discuss, explore and demonstrate their counseling theories and apply their skills to different settings and special cases. Special cases would include people with disabilities, individuals with psychological disorders, sexually-abused, trauma/phobias, substance abuse, suicidal person/tendencies, gay men/women, mid-lifers, families in crises, combat soldiers under stress, couples with relationship problems. Elderly, dying and the grieving, students in residence halls and other related special topics.
